Description:	ft ftENIOR POEMBart Stines, our towhead boy,Has a grin that gives great joy.All the girls he loves to tease.Yet, not one did he displease.Esther Patrick is her name.A teachers daughter is she.We hope her future brings her fame,All dotted with ecstasy.Nina McNeely, our class treasurer,Its airplanes that give her pleasure.Her favorite is a P-38,And this she thinks is quite a crate.Bessie Bruce is a quiet lassWith a Shakespeare appeal.I guess she learned it in English Class,With Miss Harding at the wheel.Mary Lee May is always gay,But about her future we are uncertain,As to whether shell be in business some dayOr will she be hanging a curtain?Bill Mitchell has eyes of blue,Hes essential to our crew.A good-looking man he will make,And manys the heart he will break.Page EighteenBilly Smiley is the name.As everyone knows, his hobby is dames.The Eagle teachers he tried to subdue,We wonder if that is true in Purdue?Earl Hendricks catches everyones attentionEach and everywhere he goes.But I sure hate like the devil to mentionThat he loves all the girls he knows.Bobby Freeman is like a banty rooster,But to our community he has been a great booster.He is an asset to the Ellettsville school,And can play ball like a little fool.Anne Faulkner is a queer little child,She is sometimes tame and sometimes wild.She can sing like a meadow lark,And she approves of one arm driving only when it is dark.Who is that coming in after the bell?Well, that is Jack Gooldy, we can all tell.He comes in with a Hi there, Craig,And into his seat he soon does . . . flop!!!!Although many years Ive known her,1 have never seemed to knowWhy Betty Burch falls for every soldier,And why they love her so.
