There are two peoplewho inspired us to raise the money. One,we had a JH student, who was the cousinof two of our swimmers who passed awaytwo years ago as a 6th grader. She had CF.In addition, my best friends son, who wasborn around the time my daughter washas CF, Coach Musselwhite said. Thegirls team was the main supporter, butB>y Ryan \loorhles and 6arah CjULiLandmany of the boys volunteered to help aswell. Some collected donations, and othersgave their own personal donations. I amin awe and inspired by this team. They havegiven back in so many ways and donated somuch time in so many ways that I am alwaysa little overwhelmed to see just how muchcharacter they have and this was noexception. I definitely teared up a littleknowing that they made an impact, nomatter how small. There is a cure for 2%of the CF population and with enoughmoney to research, they predict that withinthe next 10 years it can be cured completely.I have shared this with the team and to bea part of that, to watch a genetic disease thatcan be so debilitating cured in our lifetimeis an amazing thing. And we will have hada small part in that, Coach Musselwhitesaid.Ihlayte been diving since7thand I really enjoyed it.It sort of reminded me ofgymnastics in a way, so I gotjoy from that.
