However, there are also a lot of rewards totaking care of someone else. ChildDevelopment teacher Mrs. Wright hastaught the importance of caretakingfor years. The class helps students have areal, hands-on experience on dealingwith pre-school, toddler age, children, Mrs. Wright said. We talkabout their development and theresponsibility of caregiving, but thisgives them a real experience and forsome students theyve never had thatbefore.Childs Day allowed students thattook Mrs. Wrights Child Developmentclass the chance to interact withchildren. Students who participatedalso picked the theme for the eventwhich was based around the Disneyfilm Frozen. We went in the gym and played andwe also had the children fingerpaint, sophomore Allie Frye said. The event also played upon theresponsibilities people must take intoconsideration when taking care ofchildren. It was just a lot of fun seeing howall the different kids acted and howthey interacted with other kids theirage, but I also learned that kids canbe difficult to deal with, especially ina whole day, Frye said.Hi |
