I realized youactually need to get to know the kids and reach them wherethey are, Mr. Brewer said.Math teacher Mr. Lawson shared how he even messed upwriting his own name on the board.Well, I wrote some kids name on the board that wasabsent that day instead of my own name, Mr. Lawson said,also noting the positive memories he collected as well.A particular instance as a coach which was great wasfinally winning the golf championship. I justinterviewed with the principal and the superintendent ofthe school board, and thats it, Mr. Chance said.Finding out that he got the job the day before schoolstarted was not something Mr. Chance had prepared for.After finishing college with a major in physical education,Chance was looking for a job as a coach, having playedfootball and baseball at Edgewood previously.I would not change this school for any other.
