DelphiaThe Barn of TerrorThe haunted house that is to die forO,pening in 2007, the Barn of Terror has been owned andoperated by the Mann family. The Barn of Terror is a hauntedhouse with 27 uniquely scary rooms including a clown room,dentist room, a Walking Dead scene and a chainsaw chase onthe way out.My grandma used to make her house into a haunted houseand have us go through it. Then my uncle made a real hauntedhouse to follow that tradition. freshman Mickiah Mann said.For seven years, Mickiah and her family have continued thetradition. Not only did Mickiah help put on the house but herbrother THane also helped.My favorite part about helping with it is getting to see peopleget scared, Thane Mann said.Every weekend in October was devoted to running the house.Although it didnt allow Mickiah and Thane much free time, itserved as a bonding experience that made them closer due to allof the time they spent together.Many people from Ellettsville and Bloomington came out tobe frightened.My favorite part about the Barn of Terror was just beingFreshmen Mickiah Mann and Tessa Hawkins readyto walk in the fall festival parade.with friends and having fun getting scaredtogether. junior Madison Thornton said.Not only was the Barn of Terror a way to getspooked during Halloween time, it was a chancefor friends and families to come together andbond, especially when putting together a hauntedhouse or huddling together in fear.Juniors Briana Borhan and MadisonThornton pose for a picture with a Barnof Terror clown.My favorite part is getting to spendtime with my family on the weekendswhile were running it.-Mickiah Mann■BThe Mann family.
