An Air of Magic Presided Over 69 PromLovely Annamae Hayes, escorted by George Ferrell, reigns overthe 1969 Prom.This Magic Moment was the theme and the moodof the 1969 Junior-Senior Prom. Multi-colored flowers,a sparkling fountain, and vases of blue tinted carnations completed the evenings decorations in theSolarium and Alumni Hall on the Indiana UniversityCampus.During the evening, five senior girls chosen asProm Queen candidates were escorted to the stage.Annamae Hayes received the 1969 Crown and adozen roses. A tearfully happy Queen led the nextdance, played just for her and her escort.Following the prom, shorts and T-shirts replacedformals and tuxedos. The Grey provided the musicto dance to, bowl by, or eat with. Those brave enoughto stay up the rest of the night enjoyed breakfastin the student center, and were rewarded by varioustypes of door prizes.Dont look now Sharon, butBowling is one of the activities enjoyed by Kathy AAaxwelat the after-prom.16 |
