Both experienced the smell in theirfreshman honors English class, and they had similarreactions of disgust to the smell. This smellinvaded their class and was remedied by addingwater to a small trap joint. The smell caused adisturbance in the students academic lives, andsome students in odorous rooms claimed that itaffected their academic performance. Overall, thesmell would come and go in Mrs. Marylss Coatsroom for three weeks. The smell continued toworsen throughout the day eventually leading Mrs.Coats to move her fifth period yearbook class toanother room. Ms. Stephanie Warnersclassroom, A121, was also deeply affected by thesmell. When the smell was at its worst, the classwas forced to move classrooms; not only did thesmell affect students in that they were not able tofocus in the classroom, but also in that they wereforced to waste time by moving classrooms andhaving to adjust to a new learning environment allover again.
