Description: I. Student members of the Solar Biking club at BHSS constructed abike that races on solar energy. This bike was then taken to Japan sothat the team could participate in the World Green Challenge II. Thestudents participating in the race had to prepare themselves for theWorld Green Challenge, a solar bike race. After their bikes wereready for the race, the students lined up at the starting line. The racetook place in a small town called Ogata, Japan, a small rice farmingcommunity. III. Students in the solar bike racing club climbedmountains while on their trip to Japan this summer. The trips mainevent included racing bikes, while students were also able to explorethe beauties of Japan. The students climbed many mountains includingMt. Figi. The group hiked 12,388 feet on Mt. Fugi. This impressive featpushed many students, but ali students in the group made it to thetop. The tasks varied inmany regards. For example it only tookjunior Malachi Britton one day to getpaint swatches and a poster board, andcollect items from [his] yard thatresembled the colors [on the swatches],while junior Adenine Kao worked on herproject, rusting nails, for two weeks. Thestudents also had heterogeneousopinions on the subject.
