I was inGrease last year, and its nocomparison. I like Guys andDolls so much more, especially since I have a biggerrole. The musical is set in NewYork City in the 1940s andrevolves around four maincharacters: Miss Adelaide,Nathan Detroit, Sarah Brownand Sky Masterson. NathanDetroit makes his living byrunning an illegal floating crapgame and has been engaged toAdelaide, a dancer, for 14years. Nathan, needing $1000to run his crap game, makes abet with Sky Masterson thatSky can not persuade SarahBrown, a missionary, to go ona date with him to Havana,Cuba. Sky, who cannot pass upthis bet, agrees, but eventuallyfalls in love with Sarah, andshe finds herself falling forhim as well. There are manytwists in the plot, but in theend the two couples end uptying the knot in marriage.Compared to the otherplays that SOS does, this oneseems to have a lot moreaction. Instead of having twomain characters, there is four,so it makes it moreinteresting, senior AllyKorzec, who played MissAdelaide, said. The audience took a likingto the performances.
