The team lost to North 163-186 ina very competitive match.Sectional, they had to find a substitute for juniorRuthie Willsey, who came down with the flu thatmorning.The sixth player, sophomore Katy Baker,subbed in for Willsey. At Sectional the girls placedthird by shooting a 359, and advanced to Regional.They broke the 1997 teams school record.The Thoughts:How did you feel ha ving to sub for Ruthie at the lastminute?I was happy that I could play and help out theteam, but at the same time I was really sad thatRuthie wasnt able to be with the team. I wasnervous at first but the team was so supportive thatI just forgot all about it, sophomore Katy Bakersaid.What was the teams mindset going into Sectionalplay?We were really worried about not makingRegional. At the Sectional we had the top-rankedschools in Indiana to play against. freshman SarahHacker said.Sophomore Laura Hyde takes a few practice puttsbefore her match against Bedford.
