Students dressedup for each daily theme andthe end of the week concludedwith a pep rally intended to getstudents pumped up for thegame.Putting a pie in the face ofan administrator was just oneof the many activities thatwent on at the pep rally. Thisyear Principal Mark Fletcherwas the one who received thepie in the face through astudent vote.It was awesome. It was agreat experience, somethingeveryone should do once intheir lifetime, Fletcher said.Other activities included ahomecoming court shoe race,a performance by the poms anda yelling contest.Racing in front of the wholeschool wasnt embarrassing. Iwas just being stupid,throwing shoes left and right,senior Crystal Cook said.During halftime of thegame, senior Candace Driverwas crowned homecoming15queen.I didnt think thatthere was any way that I wouldwin. I was totally shocked,surprised ... amazed. It was agreat night, Driver said.The following night at thedance, senior David Wonderwas crowned homecoming kingand the king and queen shareda dance.I was shocked that I won. Ithought that one of the otherthree guys would have woninstead of me. But I was gladto be the king, Wonder said.As always, homecomingproved to be a highlight of thefall.Lizz HersheyJuniors Maria Gaetani,Elaine Stanley, andGeorgette Stauffer dancetogether. The theme ofthis years dance wasUnder the Sea.Putting on their bestsmiles, sophomore courtmember Stevie Kinser andher escort, RyanMcElhinney walk along thetrack during halftime ofthe homecoming footballgame. The court wasmade up of fourfreshmen, foursophomores, four juniorsand eight seniors.A PIE IN THE FACEAdministrators Mrs.Becky Earle, Mr.George Finley, Mr. EricBan, and Mr. MarkFletcher stand in frontof the student body atthe homecoming peprally. Studentsdonated sparechange for a specifiedadministrator, and theadministrator with themost money in theirbucket at the end ofthe week got a pie intheir face.Lizz HersheyMr. Mark Fletcherreceives his pie,thrown by junior Leigh-Ann Fullerton.
