It is achallenge that I am enjoying, a challenge Iwant to do my very best in at all areas.South is a special place to me and holds aspecial place in the community, and thatsone of the things that makes this morethan just a job.What policies have you installedsince you have been here?It is important to come in andfamiliarize yourself with the school andthen as a school staff develop thenecessary policies to make this a smoothrunning school. (Also) reorganizingadministrative polices which have helpedbring a smooth start to school and a moreeffective way to run the school.What goals do you have foryourself?I am a pretty determined person, goaloriented. I have never been moredetermined to do the job and meet theneeds of the school community as theydeserve to be met.After several years ofteaching chemistry, Mr.Eric Ban was appointed tothe position of viceprincipal. His new dutiesincluded taking care ofdisciplinary andattendance issues for thejunior and senior class.Justin BanksWhat has it been like to go fromteaching a science class tobeing an administrator?Kind of like jumping from the frying paninto the fire. It is a lot of fun being able toteach and see them (students) grow, butthis is rewarding in a different way.What do you like about whatyou do now?Helping to support the learningenvironment and helping people grow. Themost rewarding thing is being able to seethe great things teachers do in a differentperspective.What are the positive andnegative aspects so far?The positive: being able to interact withso many people and seeing school from adifferent perspective. Mrs. Earle took chargeof administrative duties.What does it feel like cominginto a new school?Frightening and exciting. (It is)frightening not knowing anyone, thestudents or faculty. I came from a schoolwhere I knew a lot of the students andnow I have moved out of my comfort zone.The exciting part is meeting new people.What policies have you installedsince you have been here?Primarily, keeping students contained inthe cafeteria and commons during lunch,to reduce problems in the halls.
