And itis always fun to beat North,sophomore Talia Fehrenbach said.successful seasonThe team made it to theSectional finals for the thirdstraight year, but lost to CenterGrove.We were very prepared goinginto the Sectional, setting a realisticgoal to beat Center Grove. We hada lot of intensity going into thegame and played well. But theiroffense was too tough and wecouldnt stop them. It was a fun,and weird game because I playedwith some of the girls on CenterGrove during the spring and now Iwas playing against them,sophomore Sarah Hall said. experienceMr. Chris Sellers, science, tookover as head coach of the teamafter being an assistant coach theprevious year.I think it was an easy transitionfor him because he has had a lot ofexperience on coaching before. Healso did a good job of helping thenew players adjust to the game,sophomore Lindsay Wood said.^^^^^^^^tjeteransEsther Young and KatherineMastalerz were the two seniors onthe team.Not only did I try to be aleader because of being a senior,but also because I was one of theteam captains. I would try toencourage, motivate and keep thegirls together as a team. Not that Ididnt face problems of my own,but I tried to show a good andpositive attitude in everything,Young said. young gunsFour freshmen played varsityand all made significantcontributions to the team.I was a little nervous at thebeginning of the season because Iwas the youngest out there.
