Theteam came in with confidence, not arrogance, as their coachhad told them. And by focusing on only themselves and nottheir opponents, the lady track Panthers coasted to a firstplace finish, 41 points ahead of second place BloomingtonNorth.Emotions...After winning the Sectional we still had the feeling that wewere going to win Regional. All we could do was run our best,and we did. It felt good to win for the track and field programat South. It meant so much to us as seniors to do well in our finalyear, senior Mary Obaka said.Sophomore Jaime Mathiasmakes a handoff tosophomore teammateCheimi Favinger duringtheir distance relay.
