Theorchestra performed Passacaglia by Richard Lane,Overture Suite by Bach and Romanian FolkDances by Bartok.Gouker described the competition as a very heavyfestival. I expected the competition to be very difficult(as it was) a National contest....The (students) playedsuper. Were not at all disappointed....It should betough. You want the standards to be high.Senior Kelly Pentecost felt the competition wentreally well. It was a new experience....You get tomeet new people, see new places.Junior Julie Shaver added, It was a lot of fun (but)very challenging.
