Description:	HaiPdlFor si WoodCongratulations are in order for the Science Olympiadteam this year at BHSS. The team distinguished themselvesby winning first place in the state competition. The teamcertainly deserved this big win, We exemplify team work,said coach Mrs. Nicholes. She is not exaggerating. The teamnever gave up, they kept right on working from Thanksgivingright up to the day before the competition. They worked oneto two hours each day averaging about ten hours a week. Thecombination of dedication and team work, this 18 memberteam got the job done and done well.The Science Olympiad is a competition which tests thestudents knowledge of math, physics, chemistry, biology, andengineering. These are not the only skills learned whenpreparing for the competition. We learn how to worktogather as a team, commented Dimitry Kiyatkin.On the day of the competition, the team was not asconfident as they thought they would be. When the metalswere distributed, the students were hoping to take third place,but when the announcer read,... and first place goes toBloomington High School South, Sean Zhang declared, Itwas the happiest day of my life.
