Quill andScroll was organized in 1926 by agroup of high school advisors, andhas grown to include over 13,000chapters in every state of the Unionand in more than 41 foreign countries around the world.To be eligible for acceptance toQuill and Scroll a student must bea junior, senior, in their second semester, or sophomore if he/she is intheir second year on a publicationstaff and has done superior work.The student must also rank in theupper one third of his or her classand is in scholastic standing. Theymust have earned A or B grades inpublications (predominantly As) andfinally should have made significantcontributions to the schoolpublications in any area such as writing, editing, business, art, photography, or production.Students who were initiated thisyear were sophomore Morey Barnes.The juniors were, Angie Bast, KrissyBritton, Paul DeBruicker, BethFreedlund, Austin Goodman, KyleHill, Jason Kirsch, Peter Hossler,Karen Jaffee, Hilary Keen, John Lind,Mandy Litz, Sarah Peter, and seniorMikki Peterson.Austin Goodman shows his unbelievableexcitement at being inducted into Quill andScroll.John Lind, Jason Hirsch, Austin Goodman,Paul DeBruicker, Krissy Britton, Angie Bast,and Morey Barnes are all being inducted intothe prized Quill and Scroll.ACTIVITIES/57
