Junior Jennifer Allen commented, We learn how to readmusic, how to dance, andhow to work together as ateam. She also added, Nomatter what people thinkchoir is not a blow off class.Mrs. Witten expects the bestthat we can give her and thatis no less than perfect. Shesone of the best in the state asfar as choirs go and it showsthrough her students.There are about 75 girlsin choir, said Mrs. Witten.These girls have two concerts a year. In their winterconcerts they usually singclassical music and Christmas songs, and in theirspring concerts they usuallysing more upbeat and funmusic and even includedancing.They participated in onecontest in Bedford this year.They were in the highest division and received a numberone rating which is thehighest score possible. Alsoduring the year there wereoptional contests for solosand ensembles.The girls choir has at leasttwo fund-raisers a year. Theyusually do things like sellM&Ms and Snickers bars.
