Description:	tHE 1973 SPRING GOLF SEASONFOUND THE PANTHER TEAM OFBILL FROHLIGER TAKING 18of its 32 matches. Top players forthe team were senior Ike Martinand juniors Doug Hutsell, Tom Cohen,and Bob Burris.Marshall Gosss runners concludedtheir 1973 spring track seasongoing 3-1 in dual meets and takingtwo triangular meets, an invitational,and the South Central Conferenceand sectional. Four Panther seniorswent to the state meet: hurdler BobGoodman, shot putters Bob Yostand Chris Brinegar, and high jumperRon Morgan.The 1973 Panther tennis teamfinished with five wins in 13 dualmeets, capping the season by tyingfor fifth in the South Central Conference. Coach Dale Scotts youngteam consisted primarily of underclassmen, including two sophomoresand a freshman, in seven of 10varsity positions.The 1973 BHSS baseball teamfared well under acting head coachJim McMillan, finishing with a 24-6record. Included in these victorieswere wins in both the sectional andregional. Shortstop-pitcher BillBuffie received both the B-man andcaptain awards.TOP: Scott Gorham returns a serve on thewet courts during practice.
