South has French,German, Latin, and SpanishClubs—every language classtaught is represented by a club.French Monopoly games,cultural conversations, and aFrench dessert at the Cloveconstituted the French Clubsagenda this year.The Spanish Club hadseveral get-togethers: a picnicat McCormicks creek, a dinnerat Mustards, a pitch-in dinnerwith Norths Peruvian exchangestudents, and a pizza partywhere, according to presidentjunior Shannon Kane, Wetalked in Spanish almost thewhole time; even to ourwaitress, whod had Spanish inhigh school.Exchange students fromGermany provided a focus forthe German club this year; clubmembers entertained them atKings Island, in Chicago, andthe German students alsotoured IUs campus.The Latin Club was foundedthis year by Latin studentsGretchen Elkins and GwenThayer.
