Description:	PERFORMING AT BOTH FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALLGAMES, THE VARSITY BANDincluded 72 South musicians andwas conducted by Mr. Donald Traub.Money raised through Texas fruitcakes sales provided funds for newuniforms and several field trips.Comprised of two groups totaling28 students, the Stage Band provided entertainment for home basketball halftime shows. Other activitiesincluded concerts at the HospitalityHouse and the Center for OlderAmericans. The band also playedfor a BHS North dance and presentedconvocations at local middle schools.Revenue from fruit cake sales helpedto pay for new music.TOP: Members of the Marching Band anticipate a halftime performance on lUs astro-turf.
