Description: South-North hockey combo ends 7-11i^A*The Bloomington hockey team has hada better team season, said Coach TomFroehle. The teams record was 7-11.The hockey team, not an official schoolsport, was made up of both North andSouth students. The team played otherteams from all over Indiana and participated in a state tournament.There were many injuries this season,including South senior Mike Preus. Preuswas one of the teams strongest players.An Indiana University student from Montreal, Yves Tremblay, helped CoachesFroehle and Sam Preus. Don Goodwin wasthe manager.The sweetest victory we had was againstColumbus, said Froehle. He felt Columbuswas one of the tougher teams in theleague.Preus, John Kaser, and Jim Klein werethe seniors from South.Froehle felt one of the strengths this yearwas the addition of five strong freshmen.TOP: During a game against Carmel, junior Gregg Pagani waits for the puck,while working on his wing position.RIGHT: Center Mike Preus slides thepuck down to the goal to try to score.BOTTOM LEFT: HOCKEY TEAM.
