Description:	into the woodsphotos courtesy of Anneke FurrInto the Woods was my first experience in theater outside ofSounds of South and my first show ever where I had my own linesand solos. The show was run through a wonderful organizationcalled Stages. Even though it was a pretty big commitment Ireally enjoyed my time not only practicing and performing it butalso meeting lots of new friends. We practiced three times aweek for three to four hours each rehearsal and even morewhen it got closer to show time. Although it was very time-consuming, every team member knew how crucial the practicewas. Overall, it was an amazing learning experience, a super funshow, and a great way to meet new people. - sophomoreAnneke Furr, Cinderellas stepmotherACTE takes on DCThis year, senior Emily Brown and a group of otherstudents traveled to Washington, D.C. for the ACTE.The ACTE, Association of Career and TechnicalEducation, is a national policy seminar that teachersand school administrators can attend. The purpose ofthe seminar is to give the attendees a chance to learnabout federal funding and government actions thataffect career and technical education.
