Mike Driver auctioned first year membersas slaves to gain funds for the club to be usedfor giving scholarships in the spring. A Romanbanquet was held to celebrate the founding ofRome. The participants wore Roman tunics andCharles White, Steve Wells, Randy Houser, Mike Smith, Jim Clavio,Dan Linthicum, Alfred Jaeger, John Bahr, Jim Stone, Mike Driver,Bob Hasty, George Matthews, David Musgrave, David Messenger.Sixth row: Marty Rice, Victor Legge, Dan ONeill, Ken Starrs,Bill Billman, Terry Buckner, David Phillips, Jim Sargent, SamScherschel, John White, Greg Hill, Bill Quails, Roger Harmon,Bill Adams, David G. Lemon, Danny Arnold.togas and dined leisurely while being entertainedin the Roman fashion. A king and queen werecrowned at the banquet to reign over the patriciansand slaves. At the close of school, Latin Club presented three fifty dollar awards to outstandingmembers.GERMAN CLUB MEMBERS and sponsor, Mrs. Ella Mae Shearon, greeta visitor from Germany who spoke at a meeting.MRS. REAVIS ENJOYS a comment as Jim Sargent directs bidding on slaves at a meeting of the LatinClub.91
