In Fall of 1965 Bloomington Senior HighWill Begin Classes on Its New CampusAfter 102 years at the end of S. College Avenue,Bloomington High School will be relocated on S.Walnut. Ground breaking ceremonies took place inMarch 1964 on what was known as the Wyliefarm. Standing on the seventy acre site are a scoreof rugged oaks and maples which resemble thetrees around the old BHS.Four buildings connected by covered walkwayswill make up the new campus along with theathletic facilities. Costing about 5 million dollarsthe school will be one of the best equipped inthe state. The 80 teaching stations will be arrangedaccording to departments with the industrial arts,athletics and auditorium all in separate buildings.The main building, a rectangular* three story structure will have classrooms around the perimeterwith an air-conditioned library in the center.
