Along with the growth came theproblem of uniforms, instruments, and other bandneeds. The band decided to sell fruit cakes this year,as they have done in the two previous years, to raise themoney they needed.The band members had a busy schedule this year.They not only have provided Bloomington High andits visitors with good entertainment during the half-times at home football games, but they participatedin such other activities as the Halloween parade, Ellets-ville Fall Festival, and the annual Homecoming Parade.The pep band, a small group composed from theA Band put on performances during two school convocations. During the basketball season the band couldbe found in their own private balcony seats.The band practice sessions were held daily during the4th period. In the fall they were on the football fieldpracticing snappy formations. When cold weather setin, the members concentrated on practicing for concerts and other engagements.The officers of the A Band this year were RogerBush, president; Patty Chestnut, vice president; SandraHudson, treasurer; and Marilyn Freeman, secretary.Mr. Carl W.
