Photography ClubThe snap of shutters and the flash of lightbulbs indicate that the Student Photo Club istaking pictures around B.H.S. again. Learningto take better pictures, to develop film, and toprint pictures are the objectives of the club.Membership in the club is limited to 12 members because of limited facilities.Most of the members of the club use theirown cameras, but those who show proficiencyin photography are allowed to use the schoolstwo cameras. Two complete dark rooms areavailable to the members of the Photo Club.The equipment used in these dark rooms is asgood as that used by regular newspaper andprofessional photographers.One of the main projects for the year was tobring in pictures each month depicting whatthat month meant to them. Mr. William Gosseris the sponsor.Art ClubPaintings, murals, and all kinds of drawingsare a result of the work of those students whoare enrolled in the Art Club. This fine artsclub allows students who are genuinely interested in any form of art to learn more aboutvarious artistic techniques. The club also provides a varied amount of experiences in art forthe members of the club. Interest in art is oneof the requirements for entrance.During the past year trips to art museums,outside speakers, and other field trips wereamong the main projects of the Art Club. Oneof the biggest social events of the year was ahayride in November.President for the year was Jim Smith, whileJoyce Disney held the position of vice-president.Sharon Johnson was secretary, and JonetteMitchell was treasurer.
