This is the motto of theFuture Farmers of America, but the work thiscalls for is not quite so simple as the motto itself. The F.F.A. boys are kept busy doing the taskswhich must be done to uphold the high standards of their organization. To be in this club aboy must be enrolled in an agriculture class.Among other things, members learn throughactive participation how to conduct and takepart in a public meeting, to speak in public, tobuy and sell cooperatively, to solve their ownproblems, and to finance themselves. This semester their community project was to donate $100to the county fair building fund. A part of thismoney came from the treasury and part camefrom specific projects such as setting out treesat one cent per tree. Five thousand to ten thousand trees were set out by the boys each year. This serves as a conservation project as well asa way to raise money. The Future Farmers usually have two or threeboys attending every worth-while activity thathas to do with farming.
