Row four: JamesEnnis, Steve Szatkowski, Bert Ray-born, Joe Peden, Thomas Allen, BillMinor.Skills and progressThe Bloomington High School AVIATION CLUB,the only one of its kind in Indiana, traveled intothe wild blue yonder from Kisters Field to Chicago.Several activities were planned to give the membersa better knowledge of aviation.Films, concerning aviation, were shown at themeetings, and several guest speakers addressed theclub. Garwood Judah, manager of Kisters Field, reviewed the progress of aviation in Bloomington during the last decade.The following members of the club were electedas officers: John Ennis, president; Tom Voile, vice-president; and Mary Lou Sluss, secretary-treasurer.Mr. H. Dale McAdams was the club sponsor.The ART CLUB was organized to promote individual creative ability through the medium of art.Any senior high school student who is interested inart may join the club.Some of the club meetings featured speakers anddemonstrations. This year the club sponsored exhibits of various artists paintings in one of the fronthall display cases. Another activity of the Art Clubwas to sponsor their annual dance.The officers for this year were Sharon Johnson,president; Jim Smith, vice-president; Toni Trenta,secretary; and Gary Ferguson, treasurer.
