This is one of the terms that can sometimes be heard in thehigh school orchestra. Under the direction of Donald Neal, the orchestra plays manydifferent types of music such as classical and semi-classical. This group is open to anystudent who plays a musical instrument and who has a desire to add to his musical knowledge and abilities.The orchestra gave many public performances during the year. One of these was theSpring Concert which was given in the spring by the orchestra and other musical groups.The music which is played between acts of the schools three act dramatic productions isalso furnished by this group. For the Baccalaureate Service, they combined with theUniversity High School Orchestra to present the music. Several pop concerts weregiven this year for the parents.The officers were elected at the beginning of each fall term.
