The chorus was divided into two sections forclass activity, but they combined at concert time. They performed at the major choral concerts and also took part inseveral convocation programs. The fundamentals of singingand the introduction of the rudiments of music were givenattention while learning each number to give it the rightinterpretation as well as to challenge the best singing possible.Special combinations including trios, duets, sextets, and tripletrios were formed to encourage ensemble singing. Performingbefore each other developed confidence and prepared thegirls for public appearances. Each girl had as her objective theresponsibility of singing as a soloist. This training served as astepping stone to the Mixed Choir.
