Description: Y. M. C. A.The Young Mens Christian Association is an organization whose purpose isto promote athletics, social activities, and better morals among the boys.A Y. M. C. A. was organized in the High School last year by officers of theUniversity Y, but because of lack of support from the High School faculty, andalso because no attempt was made to continue the activities of the organizationafter school closed in the spring, not a great deal was accomplished. This yearseveral faculty members have taken a strong interest in the organization, and it ischiefly through their efforts that it has succeeded as it has.The boys did not organize until early spring, so there was not time to do agreat deal this year. However, they plan to hold meetings and carry on athleticsthroughout the summer, so that they will be thoroughly organized and ready forwork when school starts next fall.OFFICERSRalph Esarey PresidentDonald Rogers Vice-PresidentKenneth Heaton SecretaryDale Cox TreasurerJohn Huntington MembershipRobert Marxson Social ActivitiesCrawford Ratliff AthleticsWilbur Cogshall FinanceJohn Stempel Bible StudyY.
