Description: |
A letter to Mother Mary Lecor commiserating over the poor health of Mother St. Charles and Sister Eudoxie, describing her own illness and her concern that there is no one to replace her. She has doubts about the ability of the only feasible candidate, Sister Mary Cecilia Bailly, and Sister Mary Joseph le Fer, who would be her choice, is still a novice. Mother Theodore discusses the difficulty of establishing an establishment in Louisiana, although railroad travel has improved. Dated July 7, 1855. |
