Description: |
In this letter Dumont first writes to Badollet about their friendship, which Dumont had begun to fear was deteriorating, but he understands now that Badollet’s previous negative attitude was merely a byproduct of some anxiety he was feeling over a stressful situation. Dumont then advises that Badollet learn all he can about agriculture and farm building during his visit to the country, so he can help Dumont set up farms near St. Petersburg and Moscow. The remainder of the letter consists of Dumont reminiscing about their friends, families, and lives in Geneva. |
