John T. Bryant letter to Samuel G. Bryant, 1863 March

Description: John T. Bryant was a member of Company K of the 15th Indiana regiment and his unit fought in the battle of Stones River in January of 1863. The unit remained near Murfreesboro, Tennessee from December of 1862 until June of 1863. In this letter, Bryant describes a battle to his brother in detail, describing having to advance through a cannon attack and being ordered to charge with fixed bayonets. Because of where he is located, I suspect that he is referring to the battle of Murfreesboro, but because the letter is written three months after the battle and he never names the battle, it is hard to be certain.
