535. Rose Island Cottage Vacation

Description: A couple stands on the creek edge in front of a row of cottages on Rose Island. He is dressed in overalls and she in a lightweight coat covering a blouse and skirt. In one of the five full or partial images of the cottages for rent, a man leads on the porch rail looking out at the couple and camera. From the evidence of leaves on the ground and bare trees, the picture was probably taken in the late October or November of 1929 as the picture was published in the 1930 pamphlet advertising Rose Island
