526. Map of Rose Island

Description: A map providing details for those visiting the Rose Island Resort in the 1920s. Starting on the left (west) side and moving east, the map shows forest areas, the path of 14 Mile Creek and intersecting creeks, the road to Rose Island on the Indiana side of the river. Centered are drawings of the cafe, the carousel, the inn, summer cottage, gardens, baseball field, hotel, and Devils Backbone Ridge. Across the bottom is the Ohio River showing six different types of boats and ferries people can use to reach Rose Island from both sides of the river. The title Rose Island 118 Acres is boxed set into the bottom center of the page.
