418. 615 E. Chestnut Street, January 20, 1937

Description: A car is driving through standing water in the street. On either side the water can been seen encroaching upon the sidewalk areas, as telephone poles seem to be rising out of water and not the ground. On the right hand side of the photograph is a store front with an advertising sign for the Jeff Bottling Company, although the entire name of the company is not showing. One of Jeffersonvilles early street lights is hanging over the road, stretched on a wire barely visible through the rain.
