The residence of Thomas B. Mullens (white house) is one of the homes on West Front Street surrounded by water and debris after the 1913 flood. The street is now known as West Riverside Drive. Thomas Mullens was a foreman at the American Car and Foundry Company. The picture has a skiff in the left foreground. Between it and the three homes showing is water above the street level, along with a lot of debris floating on top[ of the water. The Mullens home is two story white, federal style. The main entrance is on the left and the home is three windows wide. The chimney is on the right side of the home and a small kitchen porch is at the back right side. Two people stand in front of the entrance. The two houses to the right are also Federalist style, the one in the middle is of red brick. The third house, a one story federal style home is still standing in 2015. Its address is now 519 East Riverside Dr. Clarksville, Indiana. |
