Description: |
A postcard depicting the Fern Cliff Hotel summer resort as it stood in 1908. The hotel, located on Rose Island, predated the Rose Island Resort complex. This earlier building is an example of the late Victorian Gingerbread / early Gilded Age style for vacation hotels. It stood three stories above the ground floor area and is surrounded by trees and climbing flowers. |
