Cretaceous dragonfly

This dragonfly was around when dinosaurs walked the earth. It was found in the geologic layer known as the Santana Formation of Brazil and is over 110 million years old. Originally it was covered quickly by fine grained sediments to preserve it in such remarkable detail. |
