Description: |
The deposits of Hajoula, Lebanon are well known for their excellent preservation of marine creatures. Uncovered in these Cretaceous Period sediments are fish, rays, sharks, cephalopods, arthropods, and many marine plants. The quick burial of these specimens in very fine grained sediment helped preserve all their details. |
