Description: |
The ultimate disposable in our throw-away society, the paper dress was all the rage in 1966-67. It didnt need to be cleaned; after a few wears, you simply threw it away & bought a new one. The first ones cost $1.25. Helen Griffith wore this dress - with all of the holiday trimmings – to a Christmas party in 1966. The next year she donated it to the museum! If you wore such a thing, you were advised to keep out of the rain or snow lest it fall apart on you. |
