Description: |
A young boy probably wore these pants with “woolie chaps” on the legs in order to look like a real cowboy. Western movies and television shows were very popular with kids during the 1940s and 1950s and playing “cowboys and Indians” was a childhood game. Real cowboy chaps made of leather or sheepskin wool were worn over jeans to protect the cowboys' legs from brambles and briars. |
