E.T. communicator

Description: E.T. was a 1982 movie directed by Steven Spielberg about a gentle, long-fingered alien who is accidentally stranded on earth with one goal--to return home. He is befriended by a 10-year old, his brother and sister and their friends. Their collective goal is to protect E.T. from the adults who would only use him to perform medical experiments. E.T. was one of the top grossing movies ever made and was an advertising superstar with skyrocketing sales of Reeses Pieces (E.T.s favorite candy) and the phrase phone home which phone companies used extensively in advertising. Spielberg enlisted the help of American Bell telephones Henry Feinberg to help make the device E.T. builds to phone home plausible and made of everyday materials. Feinberg made this reproduction in 1983.
