Description: |
When Ronald Regan became President in 1981, he looked for ways to improve the American economy and reduce high inflation and unemployment. His sweeping economic approach was the most important attempt to change government spending since Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal programs in 1933. This doll represents two different ideas about economics: the supply side and the demand side. Each side is one way to change the economy. Many Americans felt strongly about Regan’s policies. This doll makes fun of the debate. |
