Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) House full of smoke at 3523 N Denny, possible furnace fire. 2) Furnace making noises, 434 Highland Ave. Dispatcher will send someone to check. 3) House full of smoke at 1632 S Meridian. 4) Fire in the furnace reported at 2158 Admiral Dr. 5) Woman overdosed at 2638 Belmar Ave. 6) Fire reported at scene of a previous fire at 1722 Massachusetts Ave. 7) Car struck a train at 21st and Dearborn, minor injuries, Commerce and Massachusetts Streets blocked. 8) Caller reports issue with a traffic light at Palmer and Meridian, dispatcher transfers to police department. Recording ends at 9:41 PM.
