This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) Furnace having issues at 434 N Highland Ave. 2) Pregnant woman in labor at 936 Indiana Ave., Apt 596. 3) Man having trouble breathing at 819 Goodlet Ave. 3) Fire alarm at Marsh food store at 1630 E New York St. 4) Woman hemorrhaging at 821 Dexter. 5) House fire at 1632 S Meridian St. 6) Drug overdose at 2638 Belmar Ave. 7) Off-duty fireman Harry Tibbets called to report steam rolling out of windows, a hissing noise, and red glow at power and light company building on Kentucky Ave. 8) Unconscious woman at 1404 Central, Apt 1. Recording ends at 6:56 PM. |
