This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) Man shot at 1745 Lafayette Rd. across the street from the Red Carpet. 2) Fire near Michigan and Delaware at the Harbor House Hotel, on the third floor. 3) Several calls discussing the fire at the Harbor House hotel at Michigan and Delaware. 4) Air raid siren sounding near Washington and Tibbs. Dispatcher investigates and learns that the volunteer fire department in that area was sounding their siren. 5) Miscarriage at 453 N State. 6) Man having trouble breathing at 1496 Norton Ave. 7) Man reports a disturbance behind his garage at 944 Northwest St. Dispatcher transfers call to police. 9) Firebomb threat reported at 2219 W 5th St. Recording ends at 8:06 AM.
