Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s, this dictabelt recorded at 8:44 PM: 1. Woman with asthma needs medical attention at 314 North Graham Street. 2. Man calling for help locating address. 3. Woman calls asking for ladder to help get into house, she is locked out. 4. Call from Murat hotel, man in apartment 727 needs oxygen and can�t breathe. 5. Man from Indiana Bell calls asking for reports of fire. 6. Fire reported at Mecca Club at 1421 Central Avenue. 7. Woman calls asking for help evict a man threatening to kill her that lives in her house, is confused at the procedures to remove him, is given the local Sherriff�s number. 8. Fire truck needed at 310 North Addison. 9. Truck on fire reported at 726 South Holmes. 10. District three engine needs repair of a flat tire at Belmont Street.
